Tone
With Tone, the colors are back on the table. Colors that can support and highlight the food. Each color has its own quality and character.
The Tone series started in 2018 with the colors Yellow, Olive Green, Apricot and Grey. Grey was released in 2020 and Apricot was released at the beginning of 2024. In 2023, two new ones were added - both in blue shades and in 2025 a Golden was also added. They have been a long time in the making, as they were supposed to be the perfect blue glazes that go well with both food and general decor.
The Tone series is a stoneware series with a special silky soft tactile surface. I have developed solid color glazes that are vibrant in themselves and make multiple tones in the solid color surface. Each color has several shades in it and acts as poetic shadow landscapes. The tactility of the glaze I have thought of as a counterpoint to the stoneware. Stoneware has a special 'stone sound' and can seem hard and maybe even rough. Tone is a frame product that is thin and delicate, but without being fragile.
